Catalog of the exhibition“Perugino a Firenze”, on show in Florence from 7th October 2005 until 8th January 2006, supported by the scientific research of Rosanna Caterina Proto Pisani, official for the Cultural Heritage Ministry and the Florence Museum Superintendency. It is a homage to Pietro Perugino, a reflection on important pieces of his work, not enough studied, nor given the right value. It is an opportunity to study well his Last Supper fresco, as well as other frescoes, and to identify single people by comparing them to other artists of his entourage (Spagna, Gerino da Pistoia, etc.). In the book, a didactic introduction to his works guides people to the churches and museums where they are held. Even the works of his pupils are presented in the volume. There are also other paintings and carvings inspired by his style, from Tuscany and other regions, testifying that his style was widespread, and that his role in Italian art between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century was very important.
