Renzo Manetti

Architect and writer, Renzo Manetti has been researching the themes of iconology and symbolism for the past twenty-five years. Frequently swimming against the tide yet always basing his arguments on solid documentary sources, he has expounded his often controversial theses at conferences and seminars and in numerous publications. His published work includes: Desiderium Sapientiae (The Desire for Wisdom, 1996); Le Porte Celesti (The Doors of Heaven, 1999), Le Madonne del Parto. Icone templari (The Madonna del Parto. A Templar Icon, 2005) and Beatrice e Monna Lisa (Beatrice and the Mona Lisa, 2005). He published his first historical novel, Il Segreto di San Miniato (The Secret of San Miniato), in 2006.
