Giovanni Fanelli was born in Florence. He is a professor of history of architecture at the university of Florence and the author of many volumes about urban history, history of architecture, graphic history and history of photography. He was the scientific director of the Fondazione Ragghianti and is the co-director of the series “Gli architetti” and “Guide all’architettura moderna” of the editor Laterza.
