Marilena Mosco

Art historian, Marilena Mosco was the director of the Silver Museum at Pitti Palace. As a scholar, she has participated in international conferences and courses, and she is author of many publications. She specialized in the Baroque period and she is particularly interested in the Medici collections, as well as in the little-explored field of frames in Italian collections, to which she devoted numerous essays (La cornice attraverso il tempoAntiche cornici italiane dal Cinquecento al SettecentoCornici barocche e stampe). She was curator of successful exhibitions, most of which conceived in an interdisciplinary perspective; it is worth to mention, among others, Natura viva in casa Medici e Floralia. She lives and works in Florence.
