Gloria Manghetti was a student of Giorgio Luti and graduated in Florence with a thesis on Mario Luzi. Since 2007, she has assumed the direction of Gabinetto G.P. Vieusseux and is responsible of the Archivio Contemporaneo, a department of this Institute. She has been involved on matters regarding the preservation and exploitation of the cultural archives for years. She is currently the president of the Fondazione Primo Conti based in Fiesole (Florence) and the literary secretary of the Premio Viareggio-Rèpaci. She organized exhibitions and conferences on authors and movements of the 20th century, dedicating many contributions to the contemporary Italian literature.
