Maria Ascolese è nata nel 1999 a Napoli e frequenta il liceo classico. Sin da bambina, mossa da un’esasperata cupidigia, cerca nel mondo e nella vita la bellezza che esalta i sensi e muove l’animo, una divina trascendenza. Si avvicina per questo alla poesia e alla musica, trovando l’arte sia terapeutica, sia sazievole. La sua maggiore fonte d’ispirazione è la cantante Biografie islandese Björk, della quale apprezza la caotica autenticità, e la scrittrice Clarissa Pinkola Estés, che celebra l’istintività oltraggiosa. È per lei identificativa la citazione: “forse l’unica differenza fra me e gli altri, è che io ho preteso di più dal tramonto. Colori più spettacolari quando il sole arriva all’orizzonte. Forse è questo il mio unico peccato.” (Lars Von Trier - Nymphomaniac, 2013).
Maria Ascolese was born in 1999 in Naples and attends classical high school. Since childhood, moved by an exasperated greed, she has sought in the world and in life the beauty that exalts the senses and moves the soul, a divine transcendence. She approaches poetry and music for this, finding art both therapeutic and satiating.
