Giuseppe Galigani

Born in Carrara (Italy), on 5th November 1927, in June 1956 Giuseppe Galigani graduated in English Language and Literature at the University of Pisa. From September 1956 to May 1958 he is at Yale and Berkeley,with a fellowship of the Commonwealth Fund (Harkness). From 1958 to 1971 he teaches English language and literature at the faculties of Letters and Political Science, University of Pisa. From 1965 to 1976 he is Assistant Editor for the “Rivista di Letterature Moderne e Comparate”. In 1977 he is Visiting Fellow at the Christ’s College, Cambridge. From 1981 to 1983 he is full Professor of English at the Faculty of Letters, University of Pisa. From 1983 up to 1995 he is full Professor of English at the Faculty of Magistero; then, from 1995 to 1998 at the Faculty of Letters, University of Florence.
