Questo volume raccoglie gli atti della conferenza dedicata alla Letteratura Italiana e Inglese, supportata dalle università americane di Georgetwon e Kent State e organizzata da Michael J. Collins, Marcello Fantoni and Giuseppe Galigani. La conferenza ha avuto luogo a Fiesole e Firenze, dove circa venti studenti provenienti dalle università di Georgetown, Harvard, Kent State, Michigan, Rutgers, Wales, Bologna, Brescia, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Venice si sono radunati per due giorni, giugno 20-21 2005, per consegnare le loro letture. I saggi di questa collezione sono ordinati in accordo con la sequenza cronologica degli autori italiani e fornisce una ricca se non completa panoramica dello scambio tra la letteratura italiana e il mondo anglofono, che vanno da Dante a Montale e da Chaucer a Seamus Heany.

This volume collects the proceedings of the conference dedicated to Italian Literature and England, sponsored by two American universities, Georgetown and Kent State, and organized by Michael J. Collins, Marcello Fantoni and Giuseppe Galigani. The conference was held in Fiesole and Florence, where some twenty scholars from various Universities: Georgetown, Harvard, Kent State, Michigan, Rutgers, Wales, Bologna, Brescia, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Venice, convened for two days, June 20-21, 2005, to deliver their lectures. The essays of this collection are roughly ordered according to the chronological sequence of Italian authors and provide a rich if not complete panorama of the interchange between Italian Literature and the English speaking world, ranging from Dante to Montale and from Chaucer to Seamus Heany.
