Mauro Galligani

Mauro Galligani attended the course of director of photography at the School of Cinematography in Rome. The history of cinema and the masters of Neorealism have formed the filmic quality of its reportages. After working with “Agenzia Italia”, he joined the Italian newspaper «Il Giorno» and he was in contact with the best Italian journalism school, which, since then, has marked the consistency and style of all his services. In 1971 he moved to the publishing house Mondadori: the magazine «Epoca» will be his workplace from 1975 to 1997, also as a photoeditor. For «Epoca» Galligani has followed the greatest events of international news, from the wars in Central America, in Africa and in the Middle East, in the Balkans and in the Caucasus to life in the Soviet Union, country, culture and protagonists of whom he testifies every change. When «Epoca» closed, he switched to Panorama as a photoeditor. For many years he has collaborated with «Life».
